Aurelio De Laurentiis, the President of Napoli, has made it clear that Victor Osimhen will not be transferred during this summer, even if a substantial €200 million valuation is met.
De Laurentiis disclosed this while conversing with the Napoli Ultras during a team retreat before their training session in Abruzzo on August 9.
This decision follows De Laurentiis’ rejection of a lucrative €130 million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for the Super Eagles striker. Osimhen is currently engaged in negotiations for a new contract extension.
De Laurentiis stated, as reported by Calcio Napoli, “I will not part ways with Osimhen, not even for €200 million. He is here to stay.”
Osimhen stood out as the top scorer in the league, amassing an impressive tally of 26 goals in just 32 appearances during the previous season. He also secured the esteemed Golden Boot award, becoming the first African player to achieve this honor in the history of the league.
