Rihanna, the pop star, is seen breastfeeding her baby boy while launching her debut line of maternity lingerie.
The singer, who holds a Savage X Fenty brand valued over £2 billion, unveiled her new collection through images featuring her 15-month-old son, RZA. Rihanna, aged 35, wore a black nursing bra from her maternity range and beamed happily at the camera.
These images were shared on Instagram recently, accompanied by the caption: “Not your mama’s maternity bras. Designed by Rihanna, approved by baby RZA.”
With her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, Rihanna is currently expecting her second child. Her aim with this new venture is to address the gap in the market for more stylish and appealing maternity clothing.
Rihanna stated, “The new maternity capsule is about instilling confidence and comfort for mothers during all stages of their journeys. I want to remind people that even while being a parent, you can still embrace sexiness and feel good.”
As her due date approaches, Rihanna becomes another in a line of celebrities who have openly shared moments of breastfeeding on social media. Prominent names such as US model Ashley Graham, who frequently posts pictures of nursing her twins Malachi and Roman, along with models Emily Ratajkowski, Miranda Kerr, Chrissy Teigen, and Gisele Bündchen, have all contributed to normalizing this aspect of motherhood. Even former “Made In Chelsea” star Millie Mackintosh has followed suit.
Stacey Solomon, a panelist on “Loose Women,” has also taken to candidly sharing her maternity journey with her audience. She expressed in 2019 that she hoped her openness would inspire other mothers by highlighting their incredible strength.
Rihanna’s maternity line is accessible online, featuring prices ranging from £27 to £47. With an estimated net worth of £1.1 billion, Rihanna’s influence extends beyond music into the realm of entrepreneurship and fashion.
