Welcome to the UK Hip Hop Dance Championship XVIII

Welcome to the UK Hip Hop Dance Championship XVIII, the 2023 World Qualifier taking place on March 10-11, 2023, in London as part of the Move IT Dance Show, the world’s largest dance convention. This event offers a chance for talented dance crews to earn their spot in the World Championship. Here are the key details:

World Championship Qualification: Up to 5 crews in each Age Division will qualify for the World Championship.

Registration: Registration is now open! The registration fees start at £28 per person, per day. The price mentioned is the initial fee before any discounts. Pre-registered participants will enjoy the lowest possible prices.

Prelims: Friday
Finals and Battles: Saturday
Registration includes standard access to Move IT (valued at £23).

Competition Categories and Age Requirements:

New Comers Section:
- Junior: Ages 7 to 12
- Varsity: Ages 13 to 17
- Adult: Ages 18 and older
- Other categories may be added based on interest.
- Newcomers are limited to National Champions.
World Championship Qualification Section:
- Junior: Ages 7 to 12
- Varsity: Ages 13 to 17
- Adult: Ages 18 and older
- MiniCrew: Three dancers, no age or gender restrictions.
- JV MegaCrew: 10 – 40 Dancers under 18 years old.
- MegaCrew: 10 – 40 dancers, no age restrictions.
- World Battles UK – no age division

Age Requirement Note:
If a crewmember’s age falls between two age divisions within the competition year (ending December 31), they may choose to compete in either division during that year. Age verification will be required.

Registration: To participate, all participants must have a valid UKSDA membership. You can log in or create a new UKSDA membership here.

Join idance® and HHI UK for the prestigious World Championship 2023 Qualifier at Move IT, where the UK’s top street dancers will compete for the opportunity to represent the UK at the World Hip Hop Dance Championships. Compete in front of a massive audience, with over 30,000 spectators.

Please note that the NewComer Division is exclusively for National Championships, and dancers cannot compete in both a newcomer and world championship qualifying crew.
