In 2024, Prime Video is set to exclusively release the Nigerian film “Water and Garri,” starring the renowned singer/songwriter Tiwa Savage, across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The drama unfolds the narrative of Aisha (played by Savage), an ambitious fashion designer returning to her native home after a decade in the U.S. due to a family tragedy. Back home in Cape Coast, Ghana, Aisha grapples with escalated violence, heightened tensions, and must confront the guilt she left behind as she reconnects with family, old friends, and a past love. The film features captivating cinematography and storytelling, with supporting roles played by Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting, and Jemima Osunde.
