NY DJ’s Concerns About Rapperholic Concert in Kumasi
Ghanaian media personality NY DJ, known for his work with YFM in Kumasi, has expressed skepticism regarding the return of Sarkodie’s highly anticipated Rapperholic Homecoming Concert to the Ashanti Regional capital. During a broadcast on October 30, 2026, he discussed the issues that plagued the organizers during the 2026 event, which may impact future concerts.
The Challenges Faced
According to NY DJ, the last edition of the concert encountered several logistical and organizational hurdles that left attendees disappointed. This included issues like crowd control, sound system failures, and delays in the execution of the event schedule. Such challenges have led to a growing uncertainty about whether the concert will be able to reclaim its former glory in Kumasi.
Fans’ Reactions
The DJ emphasized that fans are concerned about the future of the concert, with many expressing their desire for its return. However, the collective memory of the challenges faced may discourage both artists and promoters from attempting another rendition in Kumasi. Fans are left wondering if the event can live up to its reputation in the face of these challenges.

The success of future concerts may depend significantly on the organizers’ ability to learn from past mistakes, ensuring that the legacy of the Rapperholic concert continues without further hurdles.
