Nigeria’s exceptional sprinter, Tobi Amusan, has emerged victorious in the women’s 100 meters hurdles event at the Stockholm Diamond League, setting a new record with a remarkable time of 12.52 seconds.
Tobi displayed her incredible speed and agility as she surpassed her competitors, with Sarah Lavin securing second place and achieving a personal best time of 12.73 seconds, followed closely by Pia Skrzyszowska, who clocked 12.78 seconds, securing third place.
Earlier, on June 30, 2023, Tobi equaled her season’s best time when she finished second in the 100 meters hurdles event at the Lausanne Diamond League. She completed the race in 12.47 seconds, just behind Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, who recorded a time of 12.40 seconds. Tia Jones claimed third place with a time of 12.51 seconds.
