Three Nigerian tech innovators have been awarded a £6,000 prize from Innovate UK KTN.

Three young and passionate tech innovators in Ekiti state, Nigeria, have been rewarded with a £6,000 cash prize and access to a global network, all thanks to their creativity and innovation. This recognition comes from their participation in a pitch competition organized by Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) in partnership with the Ekiti State Government.

The grand winner, Odunola Olabintan, the mind behind ‘AskTheDoc,’ addressed crucial issues such as limited access to medical care, high service costs, and lack of awareness. His vision is to create a digital platform called ‘AskTheDoc’ that connects people with responsive doctors.

The other innovative minds, Yomi Adetunji (Representative of Rice Inventory Storage Exchange) and Mayowa Olajide (Representative of Motivar), proposed developing an operating system to support e-learning with online courses and technology to streamline rice warehousing and connect rice processors in the state.
