Nigeria clinched the gold medal in the 4x400m Mixed Relay event at the ongoing African Games in Ghana.
Omolara Ogunmakinju, the Nigerian athlete, delivered an extraordinary anchor leg, closing a 15-meter gap and surpassing Botswana in the last 30 meters.
Her remarkable performance secured Nigeria the gold medal, clocking in at a swift time of 3:13.26. Despite setting a new national record of 3:13.99, Botswana had to settle for silver.
